Healing is a matter of time, but it is sometimes also a matter of opportunity.
— Hippocrates

Also known as Traditional Cupping, fire or flame is used to absorb the oxygen inside a glass bulb which creates a vaccum. Applied with gliding or stationary techniques the glass bulbs are then placed on the body to relax tight and over stressed muscle groups, hydrate stagnet tissue, and move metabolic waste and other chemical build up out of the muscles. In addition, decreases pain caused by muscular fatigue, and speeds up the overall rate of recovery.

There are many benefits to cupping however, the most intriguing is the fact that it has the ability to bring the body back into its own healing process. A lot of times with musculoskeletal injuries the body only heals about 80% and leaves the other 20% up to you. For some this 20% is known as chronic pain and they live with it every day. For others it is weakness or imbalance we feel in our muscles and joints. Regardless it sucks. How the cupping helps is by bringing large amounts of blood to an isolated area just as if you had a new injury tricking the body back into repair mode to see the job through. Its all quite elementary.
